Go to Town Hall 9 am to 4 pm to support Western NC relief operation

Hendri Cajamarca brings Helene relief supplies into Town Hall this morning

Oct. 2. Cornelius Police have resumed accepting donations for victims of Tropical Storm Helene, but due to the amount of donations, the relief operation has been moved to the Community Room in Town Hall.

The collection operation is open from 9 am to 4 pm today through Friday.

Volunteer

Volunteers are needed 9 am to 4 pm each day to assist with unloading vehicles, sorting donations, and boxing donations for transport.

Donate:

– Nonperishable food (if they are canned foods, maybe add a manual can opener)
– Water
– Sports Drink Mixes
-Baby Formula
-Baby Food
-Diapers
– Hygiene Products
– New Socks/Underwear
– Tarps
– Large Trash Bags
– Duct Tape
-Shoes
-Rubber boots
-Work gloves
-Clean t-shirts/sweatshirts
-Flashlights
-Batteries
-Paper Towels
-Pet Food (again if canned, maybe add a manual can opener)
-Small tool kits
-Moist Wipes
-Sanitizer

Please do not bring:

-Cash or coins
-Perishable or homemade food
-Hazardous materials (gasoline, propane)
-Used clothing
