No, it’s not a delayed case of post-Thanksgiving exhaustion, but The Fresh Market on Torrence Chapel Road will be closed on Tuesday next week for a thorough makeover. It will reopen on Wednesday with a new look, more local foods and enhanced shopping experience.
That means an emphasis on fresh fare, convenience and health and wellness options. “The company is investing in what our customers love most about The Fresh Market, while adding new categories requested by our shoppers,” said Rick Anicetti, president and CEO of The Fresh Market.
The store will now provide “simply sourced” items, as well as a larger variety of local offerings.
Perhaps the most dramatic change will be 1,300 everyday grocery essentials including baby, pet and household cleaning products. There will also be a new variety of freshly prepared salads, entrees and wraps.
Anicetti said The Fresh Market has lowered prices on hundreds of items across the store.
There will also be an emphasis on health and wellness products, including 1,600 organic items, 850 certified gluten-free items and 1,900 certified non-GMO items.
Fresh Market will host grand reopening events here and at all five Charlotte stores starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
