FlairTRADE pivots and will relocate with new owner

This photo accompanied the announcement: “We are EXCITED to announce.”

Sept. 8. Hours after closing the consignment store at 20601-A Torrence Chapel RoadThe Shops at Fresh MarketCornelius, owner Jennifer Harrison sent a notice to customers and consignors about “some amazing news.”

“FlairTRADE is not going away, it is just pausing to relocate,” she wrote. “Your favorite consignment store will return soon in a nearby location.

“The new owner, a Lake Norman local, is excited to meet the FlairTRADE consignor and customer communities and to continue the strong tradition of service and style built over the years.”

Harrison recently told her fans the store lost its lease. The store space is shared with the olStein Mart space. “They are going to split it down the middle with one half becoming TJX’s Home Sense concept store and the space we currently occupy plus part of the old Stein Mart becoming Total Wine,” she wrote to customers last month.

Efforts to reach the new owner were unsuccessful.
