Aug. 25. Cornelius Police Sgt. Jeff Connors did an awesome job shepherding kids across Catawba Avenue on the first day of school at Cornelius Elementary.

—Every child should have their mask ready to wear as they board the bus.

—There are no longer any capacity restrictions on CMS buses; drivers are expected to strictly enforce district policy of wearing masks while on school buses.
