Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Game
The Cornelius Police Department and Cornelius-Lemley Fire and Rescue will meet on the ballfield for a Guns & Hoses Charity Softball Game on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3 pm at Bailey Road Park, 11536 Bailey Rd., Cornelius.Proceeds from concessions and a 50/50 raffle will be donated to the Sapp and Boesmiller families in support of their battles against cancer.
Rural Hill’s Great Pumpkin Race
Get ready to tackle 3.1 miles at Historic Rural Hill! Participants will enjoy a trail run that covers the gorgeous grounds of the farm. Traverse meadows, dash through the woods, and meander past autumn crops before celebrating everything that’s great about fall at the finish line!
This special event will include live music, star gazing, a candle-lit tour of the historic Latta home, whiskey tastings and marshmallow roasting by the fire. Latta Plantation.
The race, hosted by Team Summit Foundation, is one of the most popular races in Lake Norman, guiding runners in the twilight around historic Davidson, including running through 1,000 luminaries on the greenway.
