This weekend will be hot hot hot, but there are some cool things to do. The Bright Ideas art exhibit is open at the Cornelius Arts Center, and Saturday morning there’s the Farmers Market in Davidson. Registration is open for summer camps at The Warehouse Performing Arts Center, where kids will work on productions of “Hamilton,” “Peter Pan and Wendy,” “Aladdin” and “Cinderella.” But the real reason for the long weekend is remembering our fallen soldiers. There’s no better way to do so than to go to the very moving Memorial Day program behind Town Hall 10-11 a.m. Monday May 27.
