Christmas and New Years over?  No worries. The Speedway Christmas lightshow runs until Jan. 5.  Y Urban Air Adventure Park has its grand opening on Friday. Interested in playing an instrument?  The Cornelius Youth Orchestra has an open house for all ages on Tuesday.

Discovery Place Kids: Ectothermic Animals

Ectothermic animals are animals that are cold blooded. This means that the animal relies on the sun or a heated rock to control its body temperature. Come explore ectothermic animals with us. 11:15am & 1:45pm.

Alder Trail Hike

Join a ranger on a short hike at Lake Norman State Park. Lake Norman State Park, Troutman. 10am-11am.

Board Game Night

Come out and play games, bring your own or use one of ours from a wide collection of board games. Parker, Banner, Kent & Wayne, Cornelius.  5pm-10pm.

Viewing and discussion of this David Barnhart documentary “Flint: The Poisoning of an American City. How continued abuse and neglect of city infrastructure and environmental regulations have led to the poisoning of Flint, Michigan. The Avenue Presbyterian Church, Charlotte.  6-9pm.
