Jan. 22. Last fall Davidson Lands Conservancy  permanently protected two properties with conservation easements covering 56 acres.

The first property is in Iredell County just north of Davidson off Hwy. 115. It is 12 acres of forest and wildlife habitat partitioned by tributaries of the West Branch Rocky River. The owners donated this conservation easement and this donation ensures that this property will be preserved forever.

The second property is 44 acres of forest among farmland in Cabarrus County. This land houses a tributary to the Rocky River and provides excellent wildlife habitat. This land was donated to DLC and will be permanently protected in partnership with Catawba Lands Conservancy.
