Davidson announces town tax assistance program

Sept. 19. The Town of Davidson developed the Davidson Tax Assistance Program (DTAP) program supports the town’s goal of anti-displacement.

Eligible residents may apply for assistance through Dec. 1, 2023.

Grant funds will be paid directly to the Mecklenburg or Iredell tax collector in an amount up to 25% of the town’s portion of ad valorem taxes on the current year’s tax bill, not to exceed $335 per year. The FY2024 DTAP is funded by a $22,000 donation from the Davidson Community Foundation.

DTAP applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are exhausted. Applicants will be notified of the approval of their application on a rolling basis. Incomplete applications will not be approved; completed applications may be resubmitted before the application deadline on Dec. 1. Program recipients must reapply for DTAP annually.
