April 19. The NC Dept. of Health and Human Services today reported 1,200 new cases of COVID-19 statewide. There were 19 new deaths statewide from yesterday to today.

Hospitalizations

The NCDHHS today reported 1,170 people hospitalized statewide due to COVID-19, up from 1,096 yesterday

Testing

Positive tests are coming back at the rate of 7.4 percent statewide, 7 percent in Mecklenburg.

Mecklenburg

There were 198 new cases in today’s report, as well as three new deaths county-wide.

North Mecklenburg (change from April 19)

Cornelius: 1 new case, cumulative total 2,791, 25 total deaths.

Davidson: 1 new case, total 1,630, 15 total deaths.

Huntersville: 6 new cases, total 5,743, 48 total deaths
