May 19. Thomas Patrick Strahan, a Cornelius resident, has been arrested by deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Warrant Squad and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he appeared before Magistrate R. Imes who issued a $50,000 secured bond.

An investigation is ongoing. A female student at Lake Norman High School allegedly received a voicemail from Strahan about a sexual act.

Strahan, of 16213 Peachmont Drive, was a coach for the Lake Norman High School Softball Team. He is not a teacher at the school.

Additional charges are anticipated, according to the Iredell Sheriff’s office.
