Aug. 26. The Cornelius Library has started a test for Phase 2 opening this week that allows up to three patrons to enter the library to browse and retrieve books on hold.

Book returns are still done under the tent at the library entrance. During Phase 1, only the lobby was open to retrieve books on hold.

During the Phase 2 test, up to three patron are allowed in the main library and must wear face masks and stay at least 6 feet apart.

There is no seating in the lobby or library, and computers are not available during this Phase 2 test.
