Jan. 25.  An interactive panel discussion called “CMS Student Assignment: Guidelines and Opportunities” will be held 10-11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at the North County Regional Library in Huntersville.  The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

Matt Ellinwood, policy analyst with the Education and Law Project at the NC Justice Center, will discuss federal guidelines.  Tom Tate, board chair of the CMS Policy Committee, will present school board perspectives, and Dr. Roslyn Mickelson of the UNC-Charlotte sociology department will discuss CMS’s past and future.
