Cain Park’s first event ever is ‘Festival of Cultures’ on Saturday

Lotus Belly Dancers represent the Egyptian culture

Oct. 5. The Cornelius Festival of Cultures will be held this Saturday at Cain Park, just outside the Cain Center for the Arts. The event, which is the first to be held at the pocket park, will showcase more than a dozen local cultures.

There will be art and craft vendors and live performances, as well as food and beverages. The Festival of Cultures runs from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The Cain Center opened in January of this year. A pocket park adjoins the patio.

Lost Worlds Brewing (German, Austrian, Belgian)

Attendees may bring picnic blankets, but no outside alcohol, glass bottles, smoking or pets.

The event is organized by the Cornelius Parks & Recreation Dept.
