Brighter future: Energy United student contest deadline Dec 31

Dec. 27. The deadline to apply for EnergyUnited’s Washington, D.C. youth tour is New Year’s Eve. The electric co-op sends two students to the nation’s capital each June with delegates from around the country.

Applicants must be enrolled in their sophomore year (rising juniors) or junior year (rising seniors) and either receive service from EnergyUnited at home or attend a school that is served by EnergyUnited, which include Hopewell High and Hough High.

Applicants much complete an essay:

EnergyUnited is dedicated to building a brighter energy future for its members by supporting beneficial electrification initiatives and by continuing to increase its utilization of renewable energy resources. When you think of a brighter energy future for your community, what do you envision? How can electric cooperatives like EnergyUnited support your vision?
