Sept. 24. Arhaus, a leader in artisan furniture and home décor, has opened a 7,310 square-foot Studio at Birkdale Village, its fourth location in North Carolina.
The studios provide a more intimate experience in a smaller showroom footprint, with a higher level of personal service and furniture customization. Clients can work closely with Arhaus interior designers in a digital capacity, as each Studio features 3D room-planning software and touchscreen monitors to visualize Arhaus furnishings and décor within their own spaces.
The upscale store is part of the new Birkdale Village, which was redeveloped to the tune of $20 million by North American Properties, which sold the mixed-use project to Jamestown, a global, design-focused real estate investment and management firm with $11.7 billion in assets.
Located at 16740 Birkdale Commons Parkway, the showroom is the Boston Heights, Ohio-based retailer’s fourth in North Carolina.
Arhaus also operates in Asheville, Charlotte and Cary.
According to Wikipedia, the company name is a portmanteau of the Danish city “Aarhus,” and the German word for “house.”
