May 7. We know it feels just awkward to walk into a bank wearing a mask, but it’s OK. Our favorite hometown bank is simply asking that you remove your hat and sunglasses before coming inside an Aquesta lobby.

Aquesta opens its lobbies starting Monday, May 11, as per Gov. Roy Cooper’s most recent executive order loosening stay-at-home restrictions. (For a list of FAQ’s, click here.)

There are really only minor changes that occur with Phase 1 reopening: Some currently closed parks in NC will open (subject to gatherings of fewer than 10 people), and people will be permitted to leave home to visit clothing, sporting goods and housewares retailers.

Gyms, restaurants and bars can’t open until at least May 22.

Aquesta has implemented these guidelines:

—Social Distancing locations marked 6” apart

—Customer and employees are encouraged to wear masks

—Hand sanitizer, when available

—Staff disinfects high-touch areas daily

—Entrance doors will be propped open, weather permitting

—Daily screening of employees before entering

—Sneeze guards have been ordered

—Community Rooms will remain closed
