Aug. 19. Davidson currently has four citizen advisory boards: Design Review Board/Historic Preservation Commission, Livability Board, Planning Board, and Davidson Public Art Commission. 

A new board, the Affordable Housing & Equity Board, will begin in January 2021.

Based on recommendations from town staff and the nominating committee, the Town Board agreed to allow applicants to rank their choices if applying for more than one board and to recommend term limits with an exemption clause that the  board of commissioners will have discretion to waive term limits for a particular position on an advisory board or commission.

The 2021-2023 advisory board application process will begin on September 1 and close on September 30.  Applications will be available on the town’s website.
