River Rock at Alexander Farms will host its inaugural Fall Festival.
The event is free, and the public is invited to the celebration of the season’s beauty and community spirit. There will be a street festival held between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. right outside the 55+ active adult community, which is located at 8629 Chagrin Drive, Cornelius, N.C. 28031.
Decorations will include pumpkins, cornstalks and hay bales. The entertainment will be a bluegrass band, and there will be food carts, drink carts and vendors on hand. Plus, some fun fall games.
“We’re planning to have corn hole, axe-throwing and a pie-making contest that residents are extremely excited about,” said Ryan Hunsucker, Senior Community Manager.
River Rock at Alexander Farms has a number of pie-making pros living in the community, and they will face-off in a contest to determine who makes the best pie. “Our team members will be the judges, and the top winners will receive gift baskets,” said Hunsucker.
Prizes will be awarded for first and second place.
