Capture Lake Norman Photo Contest Opens

Visit Lake Norman is inviting photographers to capture the people, places and experiences that make the Lake Norman area unique as part of its 12th annual “Capture Lake Norman” photo contest.

The contest is open to amateur and professional photographers who are at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States. Entries open today and will be accepted until Sept. 30.

Photographers can submit high-resolution images taken in the Lake Norman area, including photos of sunsets, sailboats, festivals, wildlife, historic sites, parks, local food and other scenes that showcase the region.

The first-place winner will receive a $200 Visa gift card and a Lake Norman-branded sweatshirt. Second place will receive a $100 Visa gift card and a Lake Norman-branded shirt, while third place will receive a $50 Visa gift card and a Lake Norman-branded hat.

All three winners will be featured in the Official Lake Norman Visitor’s Guide, which is distributed throughout the region and online. Winners also will receive a canvas print of their winning image.
