Hough stays unbeaten with 66-0 rout of Garinger

Oct. 10. Ryan Moxon. The Hough Huskies rolled past Garinger 66-0 on Friday night to remain undefeated.

Junior quarterback Ethan Royal continued his strong season under center, throwing for 177 yards and three touchdowns before being replaced by freshman Christian Druzbik, who added 70 passing yards and another touchdown. Royal also ran for 30 yards and two scores.

The Huskies’ receivers totaled 247 yards, led by senior Jayden White with 106. Five other wideouts recorded double-digit receiving yards.

On defense, junior linebacker Collin Hinds recorded one sack as Hough continued the dominant defensive play that has defined its unbeaten season.

Hough (7-0) hosts South Meck (6-1) on Friday night in a Greater Charlotte 7A/8A matchup. The Sabres are coming off a 45-20 win over West Meck.

Season standouts

Hough had four players named to the west roster of the Queen City Senior Bowl, including wide receiver Jayden White, defensive lineman Sincere Brewster and defensive back Jason Wilkerson.
