Frank Giosue Finizio, 89

Frank Giosue Finizio, 89, of Huntersville, formerly of Maynard MA, died peacefully on June 28, 2015, at Serenity House in Huntersville, NC.  He was born in Boston, MA,  the son of the late Giosue and Itala (Edith) Profita.  He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater in WWII.  After the war, he worked as an orderly in a Veteran’s Administration Hospital, as well as worked part-time at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA.  He worked as a machinist for many years, was part owner of Hudson Broach Machine Tools in Hudson, MA, and retired from Sears & Roebuck in Maynard, MA.
He was pre-deceased by his mother, father and step-mother Emily (Iannuzzo) Finizio.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Florence Jenny (Saieva) Finizio, his son Joshua Joseph Finizio and wife Nancy (Nevala) of Huntersville, his daughters Edith Bemis and husband, John Bemis of Boxborough, MA, and Linda Bailey and husband Scott Bailey, of Huntersville, nine grandchildren, his sisters Lillian McPhee of Florence, MA, and Katherine Nobile and her husband Peter of Newton, MA,  uncle Savio Profita and wife Phyllis of Waltham, MA, as well as many cousins, nephews and neices.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Carolina Comfort Coalition c/o Serenity House, 110 Centre Church Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117, Hospice & Palliative Care of Lake Norman, 1420 East Seventh St., Charlotte NC 28204 or a charity of your choice.
The service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 2 at James Funeral Home (10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville) with visitation to follow the service.
