Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
Dec. 20, 21 and 23
Open Track Nights on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
6-8 pm. James Hoyt Wilhelm Park’s 1/4-mile walking track will be lighted on Mondays and Bailey Road Park’s regulation track will be lighted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both open to the public.
Dec. 23-24
Christmas Eve services on Dec. 23 at 6 pm, and Dec. 24 at 4 pm and 6 pm. The church meets at the Oak Street Mill, 19725 Oak St., Cornelius.
Dec. 23
Inclusion Community’s Christmas Eve Eve Under the Stars
7 pm. Everyone is invited to gather around our campfire for a Lessons and Carols service followed by caroling down to Old Town Public House. Dress warmly and comfortably. The Hut/Cornelius Presbyterian Church,21209 Catawba Ave. The Hut parking is off of Church Street.

Inclusion Community’s Contemplative Christmas Eve Service
7 pm on Zoom (link on website). Everyone is invited to our Contemplative Christmas Eve service on Zoom. This will be a quiet and reflective service of scripture, poetry, and music. Bring your own candle to light at the end of the service.
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church
3 and 5 pm. Spontaneous Christmas Pageant, especially for children and families. The children will have the opportunity to participate in the Christmas pageant. The service will conclude with communion and candle lighting.
7 and 11 pm. Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion service. 19600 Zion Ave., Cornelius.
6 pm. Candlelight Christmas Eve Service. First Baptist Church of Cornelius, 21007 Catawba Ave.
Davidson United Methodist Church

6 – 9 pm Sunday through Thursday; 6-10 pm Fridays and Saturdays. $10 per person (ages 2 and older).
Use 448 Pilch Road entrance, Troutman. You will start lining up on the road with the light up arches.
Through Jan. 2, 2022
5 to 9 pm. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s annual holiday event features a topiary display, rolling lights of the Piedmont Prairie and twinkling cherry trees. Advance tickets for Holidays at the Garden are being sold online. A limited number of tickets are being sold for various time slots to help control the crowd. CDC protocols will be followed. Food trucks will be available.

This multi-disciplinary exhibition features work from husband and wife team Terry and Sue Ruhs of Waxhaw. Cornelius Arts Center. Gallery hours of operation: 10 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday.
