Hough Wraps Up Regular Season at Hopewell
Hough looks to put a bow on a historic season tonight when it travels to Hopewell for its final regular-season matchup, chasing back-to-back undefeated regular seasons.
The Huskies are 9-0 and haven’t lost since a playoff defeat to Grimsley ended their 2024 season. The last time Hough lost a regular-season game was Aug. 23, 2024.
The 5-4 Titans feature a run-first offense led by three running backs: Miles Vanderspuy, who averages 133 rushing yards per game; Damo’n Broussard, who averages 93; and Antonio Jenkins, who averages 65.
Hough’s defense has been dominant this season, recording 48 sacks. After allowing 121 rushing yards in the season opener against Northwestern (S.C.) and 64 yards against Mooresville in Week 4, the Huskies haven’t allowed more than 50 rushing yards in any game. In Week 3, Hough held No. 3-ranked Providence Day to minus-53 rushing yards.
Hopewell’s five victories this season have come against teams with losing records.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Hopewell. Tickets cost $11 on the GoFan app, and the game is scheduled to livestream on the NFHS Network with a subscription.
