Weekly calendar Aug. 4-8: National Night Out & more

Tuesday, Aug. 5

National Night Out

5:30-7:30 pm | Aug. 5. Cornelius Parks & Recreation joins the Cornelius Police Department in hosting the town’s annual National Night Out. This free public event promotes community safety and crime prevention. An evening filled with family fun, including children’s activities, food, entertainment and more. Bailey Road Park.

Be Well Birkdale

6-7 pm | Tuesdays through Oct. 22. Find your zen during weekly fitness classes from local instructors including Yoga Six and Pure Barre. Attendees check in through a scannable QR code and earn swag items for every five classes completed. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mats. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Music Bingo

6:30–9 pm | Wednesdays in August. Presented by Games With Glen. Team size limited to 8. No round starting after 9 pm. Torrence & Knox restaurant, 20936 Torrence Chapel Rd., Cornelius.

North Meck Farmers Market

9 am to noon | Wednesdays through Sept. 24. Fresh, local vegetables, meats, baked goods and more. In partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Food Policy Council. Behind Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave., Cornelius.

Trivia League Night

Birkdale Buds

10:30 am to noon | Wednesdays through Oct. 23. Pre-school aged little buds are invited for interactive playdates including arts and crafts, story time, face painting and other kid-centric activities. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.
