Paint & Sip like Andy Warhol

6-9 pm | Aug. 8. Includes supplies, artist instruction, an inclusive bar with wine, beer and non-alcoholic options, and light munchies. $100. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue, Cornelius.

Movies in the Park: The Wild Robot

8-10 pm | Aug. 8. Movies start at dusk and are open to the public. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs Veterans’ Park, Main and Maxwell streets, downtown Huntersville.

Live Under the Oaks

6-8 pm | Aug. 8. Live entertainment. Bring your chairs or blankets. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Lights, Camera, Birkdale

7:30 pm | Aug. 9. Madagascar. Seating is first come, first serve. Attendees are encouraged to bring additional blankets and chairs. No outside food or beverage is permitted, but takeout from onsite restaurants is encouraged. Coolers are prohibited. Events are subject to cancellation pending weather conditions. Concert on the Green

6-8 pm | Aug. 9. Shake the Dust – Americana. Town Green, downtown Davidson.

Magnificent Orchestral Music of the Baroque

3 pm | Aug. 9. Join the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, directed by Frances Blaker, for an inspiring concert of magnificent orchestral music of the baroque period. The event is free & open to the public but donations are greatly appreciated. St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 164 Fairview Rd., Mooresville
