Trying to figure out what to do? This calendar, published weekly on Mondays, can point you to some of the best options in Lake Norman.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

Dec. 17 

Bost Grist Mill Christmas Open House

5 pm – 8 pm. Special night of shopping on Fridays. Products available: corn meal, Coarse Southern grits, dips and mixes, organic pig meat from Bost Farms, small gift items, wooden toys, gift baskets, cookbooks, pillows, local honey, candles and more. Outdoor vendors (depending on weather).  Bost Grist Mill, 4701 Hwy. 200, Concord. 704.782.1600.

Dec. 18: LKN Lighted Christmas Boat Parade

3rd Annual LKN Lighted Christmas Boat Parade

This boat parade will run from Blythe Landing to Ramsey Creek Park. Don’t forget to bring toys for Little Smiles, a non-profit group that brings toys to the children at the Levine Children’s Hospital. The event is planned to start around sunset and finish at approximately 7 pm.

Davidson Farmers Market 

9 am to noon. Holiday market.

Dec. 19

Open Gym Senior Pickleball 

1-3 pm Sundays at JV Washam Recreation Center. No session on Dec. 26 or Jan. 2.

Bost Grist Mill Christmas Open House

1pm – 5pm. Hot apple cider, light refreshments, tasting our stone ground grits, and a chance to win our weekend drawings for door prizes. Products available: corn meal, Coarse Southern grits, dips and mixes, organic pig meat from Bost Farms, small gift items, wooden toys, gift baskets, cookbooks, pillows, local honey, candles and more. Activities: Outdoor vendors (depending on weather), photos with Santa Claus on Sundays only with appointment. Bost Grist Mill, 4701 Hwy. 200, Concord. 704.782.1600.

Santa at Birkdale Village 

By appointment.  Santa will be at Birkdale Village throughout the season and taking photos at the  North Pole-inspired cottage.

Holidays at the Garden 

5 to 9 pm. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s annual holiday event features a topiary display, rolling lights of the Piedmont Prairie and  twinkling cherry trees. Advance tickets for Holidays at the Garden are being sold online.  A limited number of tickets are being sold for various time slots to help control the crowd. CDC protocols will be followed. Food trucks will be available.

Through Jan. 21

Fabrics & Frames art show 

This multi-disciplinary exhibition features work from husband and wife team Terry and Sue Ruhs of Waxhaw. Cornelius Arts Center. Gallery hours of operation: 10 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday.
