Theatre Department Presents “The Addams Family”

2-3:30 pm. The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. Easter Egg Hunt 

11 am. Children and families will gather on Mt. Zion United Methodist Church’s front lawn.There will be bouncy slides, baby animals, hot dog lunch, and lots of eggs. 19600  Zion Ave., Cornelius

April 9: Hop into Spring at Robbins Park West

Hop Into Spring 

2-4 pm. Free event designed for ages 3-12 and their families. Kids can enjoy music, crafts, visits with Peter Cottontail, and an Easter Egg scramble. Concessions and drinks will be available for purchase. Robbins Park West Catawba Avenue.

9 am- noon. 120 S. Main St., Davidson. Rain or shine, No pets please.

Rescue Ranch hosts a Spring Fling

10 am to 3 pm. Registration is open for the egg hunt and activities, at Rescue Ranch, 1424 Turnersburg Hwy., Statesville. Age and ability specific egg hunts will begin at 10:30 am and run through 2:15 pm. An EC egg hunt will be at 12:30 pm using visual cards and egg cartons to fill to help participants focus and not feel overwhelmed. All egg hunt participants must be registered and paid prior to the day of the event.  Register here. dmission is $5 per person with children 1 and younger  free.

Whitewater Triathlon 

6 am-noon. Take on a 1K open water swim in the Catawba River, a 23K mountain bike leg and a 6.5K trail run through the Whitewater Center’s trail system. Sprint distance is available with a 400m open water swim in the Catawba River, 12K mountain bike leg, and a 3K trail run. Register early for discount. Whitewater Center.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny & Duck

Registration required as space is limited to only 30 tables per time slot (9 am, 10 am and 11 am). Your $20 reservation serves as your table holder for 45 minutes as well as a $20 off coupon to the TruGrits Food Truck breakfast while you wait for your Bunny & Duck photo.

Community Shred Event

9 am – noon. the Cornelius Police Department will host a Community Document Shredding Event in the student parking lot of William A. Hough High School, 12420 Bailey Road.  The event may end prior to noon due to truck capacity, equipment failure, bad weather or any other unforeseen event. There is a 4-box maximum per resident or business.

Concert

3- 4:30 pm. Pianist Leo Tamburro as he performs his senior recital. Admission is free, but tickets are required. For tickets, call the Union Box Office at 704-894-2135. Sloan Music Center Tyler-Tallman Recital Hall, Davidson College.

April 9-10: Whisky Tastings at Rural Hill

Saturday – Sunday, April 9-10

Loch Norman Highland Games/Whisky Tastings

If you need a break from the hammer throw, Rural Hill is offering you a chance to quench your thirst with 5 different pours. Whisky tastings happen in the Rural Hill Cultural Center. Must buy tickets to the Loch Norman Highland Games  to enter. Whisky tasting tickets are limited and may sell out before the Games.
