Here are some events this weekend. Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

April 29

Roaring 2020’s Casino Night

7-11pm. Benefits Lake Norman Humane. Professionally operated casino tables, where the croupiers and dealers will welcome beginners and seasoned gamblers alike. Guests will enjoy prohibition-era music, food, cocktails, prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are $100 per person. Statesville Country Club, 635 Deauville Road, Statesville.

Live Music

6-9 pm. Country artist Savannah Harmon. Lost Worlds Brewing. 19700-D, One Norman Blvd, Cornelius.

Friday & Saturday, April 29-30

SpringFest at Cabarrus Brewing Company

This year the SpringFest will like the German Fruhlingsfest. Fruhlingsfest is a German Spring Festival, often described as a mini-Oktoberfest. A weekend of beer, music, food. It starts Friday nigh with Food Truck Friday, Fresh CBC Brews, and Live Music. The SpringFest Craft Vendor Market is 11am-5pm Saturday. 329 McGill Ave. NW, Concord.

April 29-May 1: Tuck Fest at the National Whitewater Center

8 am Friday – 5 pm Sunday. A celebration of the outdoor lifestyle. Whitewater Center.

April 30

Earth Jam 2022

4:30 to 7:30 pm at Robbins Park, 17738 W. Catawba Ave. Eco-friendly event features live music, local beer and wine vendors, food trucks, environmentally-focused vendors, activities, and more. Admission and parking are free.

4:30-5:45 pm – The Hwy.

6-7:30 pm – Jim Avett 

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the festivities; no pets, no smoking, no e-cigs or vaping, no open flames, and no glass containers are allowed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists.

Market for Moms

1-6 pm. Indoor market featuring local businesses

Davidson Farmers Market

9 am- noon. 120 S. Main St., Davidson. Rain or shine, No pets please.

Verna Miller Case Research & Creative Works Symposium

9 am – 4:30 pm. Outdoor Campus Richardson Plaza – Sculpture Garden. Davidson College’s annual celebration of student research, community projects and creative work. Over 700 students participating. Free live music and food trucks. Held on Richardson plaza and surrounding buildings. Open to the public. Details and schedule will be posted to the Verna Miller Case Symposium website.

April 30: Jazz Concert Series featuring ARSENA

Jazz Concert Series 

5-8 pm.  Arsena Schroeder Unplugged & Live, soul/R&B/jazz.Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd. Huntersville.

2022 BrightFire Music & Arts Festival

4-10 pm. Celebrate Beltane at Rural Hill.Tickets here; $25, $30.  Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville.

Spring Festival

Food truck. Face painting and  there will be  puppies available for adoption from Destination Home Puppy Rescue from 1-3 pm. The Park: Meeting Street at Cedar Walk, 9620 Longstone Ln., Charlotte.

Garibaldi Festival

Noon-10 pm. tStowe Park, 24 S. Main St., Belmont.

Garibaldi Festival features: local arts and crafts vendors, live music, rides for kids and craft brews available.

April 30: Jody, Joanna & Co. perform at Royal Bliss Brewing.

Live Music

7-10 pm. Jody, Joanna & Co. is an acoustic power trio performing a broad selection of classic hits. Royal Bliss Brewing Co., 7532 Royal Bliss Court, Denver.

Spring Fling

Live music featuring Joey Lavalee (2-5 pm) and Mike’d Up (6-9 pm). Fresh cut flower from Elizabeth Joy Florals. Primal Brewery. 16432 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville.

May 1

Polish Art Songs

3 – 4:30 pm. Davidson voice students present rarely performed, beautiful vocal music from Poland. Admission is free, but tickets are required. For tickets, please contact the Union Box Office 704-894-2135. Sloan Music Center Tyler-Tallman Recital Hall, Davidson College.
