Virtual community meeting Jan. 4 on new project

Dec. 29. By Dave Vieser. A virtual community meeting will be conducted on Monday Jan. 4 to discuss a project that would include a new car showroom for Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Chartown Drive.

The expansion and rezoning request has been submitted by DB Automotive Real Estate Holdings, which owns the facilities located on Torrence Chapel Road.

“The applicants wish to develop approximately 30 acres located on Chartown Drive, south of Life Fellowship Church,” said Town Planning Director Aaron Tucker. “The proposed development would include a 46,800 square foot vehicle sales dealership, an off-road vehicle demonstration area, a boat sales dealership, and a building to be utilized as flex space.”
