March 3. The Charles Mack Citizen Center’s recent make-over has earned the facility the “Top New or Renovated Meeting Site Award” by Convention South. 

The hospitality organization announced The Charles Mack Citizen Center as a winner in the December 2021 issue of its magazine, Convention South, as part of the recognition. 

Over the last two years, The Charles Mack Citizen Center has updated their carpeting, paint, flooring, furniture, interior doors, chair rails and fixtures. The addition of a walking art tour that features local artists has generated more foot traffic at the facility and offers an activity for event attendees. 

The second phase of renovations will include lighting and public area furniture to be completed this year. 

The Charles Mack Citizen Center is among 54 meeting facilities located across the South to receive this year’s “Top New or Renovated Meeting Site Award.”

The renovations are part of a larger initiative to improve the facility’s offerings for the local community and attract new customers from out-of-town. 

“Our goal is to continue to exceed the expectations of our guests and optimize The Charles Mack Citizen Center’s amenities to meet the needs of the community,” said The Charles Mack Citizen Center’s manager, Christine Patterson.
