Day Two: Share your thoughts this week on the downtown master plan

Aug. 5. The Cornelius Planning Department is hosting the second of three meetings this afternoon at town hall for residents review a draft and provide feedback on the new downtown master plan.

The town planning department estimated around 20 residents attended the first meeting yesterday.

The goal of the master plan is to identify what the town calls “a unified vision” for downtown Cornelius.

“The plan addresses important topics such as a redevelopment plan for the core area and nearby significant properties, land use and transportation recommendations, and arts and branding opportunities,” said the town in an email promoting the events.

The final two will take place in room 204 at Cornelius Town Hall on the following days and times:

  • Tuesday, August 5 – 3:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Wednesday, August 6 – 9:00am-6:00pm

The draft of the master plan is also available online at www.cornelius.org/downtown.
