Last chance: Share your thoughts today on the downtown master plan
Aug. 6. The Cornelius Planning Department is hosting the final of three meetings today at town hall for residents review a draft and provide feedback on the new downtown master plan.
The goal of the master plan is to identify what the town calls “a unified vision” for downtown Cornelius.
“The plan addresses important topics such as a redevelopment plan for the core area and nearby significant properties, land use and transportation recommendations, and arts and branding opportunities,” said the town in an email promoting the events.
The last meeting will take place in room 204 at Cornelius Town Hall today at the following time:
- Wednesday, August 6 – 9:00am-6:00pm
The draft of the master plan is also available online at www.cornelius.org/downtown.

Why should one comment on the Master Plan when the current board and Mayor doesn’t recognize the current plan by approving a 6 story building .. Seems like a wast of time
