Rescue Ranch needs donated items for garage sale

Feb. 2.  Rescue Ranch is holding one of its most popular fundraisers, a community garage sale, and is looking for donations.

The public garage sale will be 8 am to 4 pm  Saturday, March 4  at 165 Jennings Road in Statesville.

The location is new as are a few logistical changes.

Those interested in donating items to the sale can drop them off 10 am – 4pm every Thursday and Sunday through Sunday, Feb. 26 at 165 Jennings Road. Donors will receive a tax receipt.

Needed items include art, bicycles, books, clothing (preferably women/children), electronics, furniture, holiday items, home décor, housewares, home goods, jewelry, lawn/garden items, office/school supplies, patio furniture, pet supplies, small appliances and more.

Donations of scrap metal are also being accepted as follows:

Air conditioners, aluminum cans, appliances, automobiles with title, bed frames, bikes, cast iron, cooper wire, grills, siding/gutters, stainless steel, tire rims without tires and more.

Volunteers needed

Volunteers are also needed to accept donations, organize items for the sale, and to assist the day of the event. For information on volunteering or questions on donated items, call Joanne Boyle 856-889-6828.

Who benefits

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the nonprofit animal welfare organization, which promotes respect for all animals through education; is committed to agricultural, environmental and wildlife conservation; and facilitates rehabilitation, rescue, and responsible pet ownership in order to enhance the human-animal bond.

Quotable

“We’re excited to bring this fun community event back,” said Krissie Newman, co-founder and president of the nonprofit organization. “This is a great time to donate unwanted items for another family to enjoy or to find some ‘new to you’ goods at a great price, all while supporting Rescue Ranch’s programs and animal ambassadors.”
