Police seek help with locating missing teen girl

June 9. The Cornelius Police Department received a report Tuesday of a missing/runaway teen  girl and are asking anyone who has seen her to tell them.

Kaelyn Jenelle Willis, 14, was reported missing by her mother after leaving her mother’s residence at 20239 Heights Way in Antiquity Heights. Kaelyn took trash to a dumpster about 6:30 pm Tuesday, June 7, and didn’t return, her mother says.

Kaelyn was last seen on Wednesday, June 8,  around 4 p.m. leaving a home on Delftmere Drive in Cornelius, police said.

She is believed to be in the Cornelius area. Her mother, Brooklyn Willis,  is posting flyers of Kaelyn asking for help in finding her.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kaelyn Willis is asked to call Cornelius Police at 704-892-7773.
