Feb. 20. The resurfacing of Bailey Road in the Oakhurst area starts February 21, and is expected to last through the week. The timetable is  weather sensitive. Work will begin in the residential area and eventually move west towards Statesville Road/US 21. During the latter part of this week, crews will be working in the commercial area between Washam Potts Road and Statesville Road. During this phase of the work, east- and west- bound traffic on Bailey Road will be on the same side of the median, preventing the need for detours.bFlaggers and traffic cones will be in place when working in the area. Motorists are asked to stay alert and be prepared for workers in the area, and to plan their travel accordingly.
