Pack the Patrol Car!


JULY 21. Cornelius residents are invited to help the Cornelius Police Department “Pack the Patrol Car” with school supplies for the upcoming 2015- 2016 school year. From now until Aug. 14, donations of school supplies can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in the lobby of the Cornelius Police Department, directly across from Town Hall. Cornelius Police will also be collecting items at National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the gazebo in Jetton Village.

On Friday, Aug. 21, officers will deliver all the donated items among the four Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Cornelius: Cornelius Elementary, J.V. Washam Elementary, Bailey Middle and Hough High.

Recommended supplies include paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, scissors, binders, pocket folders, hand sanitizer, tissues, back packs and lunch bags.
