Nov. 26-28: Make your plans for the weekend

Nov. 27: 10th Annual Light Up Cornelius

Trying to figure out what to do? This calendar, published weekly on Mondays, can point you to some of the best options in Lake Norman.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

Saturday, Nov. 27

10th Annual Light Up Cornelius 

4-7 pm behind Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave. Attendees can enjoy community group performances, holiday songs by local performers, carriages rides, train display, concessions and a visit from Santa. The tree lighting is tentatively scheduled for 6 pm.

Our Town Stage Concert Series: The Drifters 

The Drifters will perform their holiday pop show. Doors open at 7 pm for a cash bar. 8 pm concert. Tickets $18 – $25.

Face masks must be worn inside the auditorium for the duration of the show unless you are eating or drinking. The Charles Mack Citizen Center, Mooresille.

Holiday Market 

2 – 6 pm. Food trucks and vendors onsite with items available for purchase.Veterans Park, Main Street and Maxwell Street, Huntersville. The Holiday Market will run in conjunction with Shop Small Weekend on Saturday.

Sunday, Nov. 28

Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue Hosting Santa

2-6 pm. Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue will host a visit with Santa at Cornelius-Lemley Fire Station #1, 19729 S. Main St. The event is free and open to the public. Visit with Santa and have photos taken by TSS Photography. Proceeds from sales of photo packages will benefit Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue. Holiday Market 

2 – 6 pm. Food trucks and vendors onsite with items available for purchase.Veterans Park, Main Street and Maxwell Street, Huntersville.

Through Jan. 2, 2022: Holidays at the Garden

Through  – Jan. 2, 2022

Holidays at the Garden 

5 to 9 pm. The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s annual holiday event features a topiary display, rolling lights of the Piedmont Prairie and  twinkling cherry trees. Advance tickets for Holidays at the Garden are being sold online.     A limited number of tickets are being sold for various time slots to help control the crowd. CDC protocols will be followed. Food trucks will be available.
