Newsmakers Breakfast: History & Future of Cornelius Today

Aug. 4. The next Newsmakers Breakfast will be held Thursday morning, Aug. 14, at The Peninsula Club.

Titled On the Record: History & Future of Cornelius Today, the panel will feature Dave Yochum, who will share stories from his two decades as founder of Cornelius Today. He will be joined on the dais by Jon Show, the new owner and editor of the publication.

Yochum founded Cornelius Today in 2003 and has served as the voice of record for the community for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Tracy, also founded the annual Big Day at the Lake, which raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Show writes the monthly back-page column Modern Dad for Cornelius Today and recently acquired the media company.

The Newsmakers Breakfast regularly brings together members of the Cornelius community to hear speakers discuss a range of topics, including the local economy, government, business, philanthropy and more.

Event details

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. for networking. The buffet-style breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

The Q&A session starts at 8 a.m. and concludes promptly at 9. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions throughout the discussion.

The cost to attend is $16, which includes a full country breakfast at The Peninsula Club.

Attire is business casual.
