N. Meck Class of ’67 plans reunion

If “Groovin” was what you did on a “Windy” Saturday afternoon, but at North Meck High Monday through Friday you were “Happy Together” and you showed your teachers “Respect” (although it could be “Kind of a Drag”), maybe you’re from the Class of 1967.

The organizing committee for the North Meck 50th Reunion is searching for their classmates. Some of them are easy to find, like John Woods, the mayor of Davidson. In fact, he’s a member of the reunion planning committee which also includes Gale Woerner, chair; Reid Washam, co-chair; and Joy Dean, Betty Howard, Brenda Honeycut, Donna Patterson, Jenny Dowdy, Kitty Giese, Leif Swanson, Lloyd Murray, Marcus Rivens, Pam Laroche and Phillip Puckett.

They’re organizing the reunion on the weekend of Oct. 21, a Saturday, at the Hilton Charlotte Executive. There will be dinner and dancing, as well as a Friday social the night before.

If you are a classmate and have not made your whereabouts known, email the planning committee at 1967nmhsclassreunion@gmail.com . There is a Facebook page at North Mecklenburg Class of 67, 50th Reunion.
