Menorah Lighting at Birkdale Village

Dec. 12. Sunday at sunset marks the beginning of the eight-night celebration of Hanukkah, and Chabad of Lake Norman will hold its 7th annual Hanukkah Festival at Birkdale Village to commemorate the occasion.

The celebration is free and open to the public, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Festivities include the lighting of the menorah at 5:30 p.m., holiday music, family-friendly games and activities, hot drinks, craft projects, and a selection of traditional Hanukkah foods such as latkes, chocolate, and donuts.

The event will feature a brand new nine-foot menorah crafted entirely from Legos.

The celebration will be held on The Grove entertainment lawn, across from Regal Cinemas.
