Martha “Betty” Braswell Pearson, 91, of Huntersville died May 6, 2015. She was born on June 4, 1923, daughter of the late Charlie and Marie Braswell. She retired from Union Carbide after 30 + years of service. She was active in Mecklenburg Extension Homemakers and was known for her very neat work with crafts.

 She was preceded in death by her husband “Booty” Alexander L. Pearson and her siblings, Robert Braswell, Betty Tomczak, and Archie Braswell.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Brown and husband Bill of Huntersville; grandchildren, Beverly Sessions of Raleigh, Russ Brown of Charlotte and Brenda Ellington of Boone; and great-grandchildren, James, Jake and Jason Ellington and Benjamin Brown and George Sessions.

The burial service will be private at Forest Lawn West. The service to celebrate her life will be held at2:30 PM Friday, May 8 at Holly Hunter Church with visitation following the service.
