You can find Lost Worlds near Choplin’s Restaurant
April 20. By Dave Vieser. Lost Worlds Brewery, which planned to open a tap room near Choplin’s Restaurant this spring, did a quick pivot that even Derek Jeter would have admired: They shifted their operation to a production-first, carry-out approach.
The doors opened this past weekend and the turnout was strong.
Owner David Hamme, a resident of The Peninsula. is a nationally known innovation consultant whose 2014 book, “Customer Focused Process Innovation,” was a business best-seller.
Lost Worlds innovated when the COVID-19 pandemic dramatically changed how so many businesses are able to operate.
With thousands of gallons of beer ready to go, a big pivot to a production-first facility was brewing.
Their inaugural suds are expected to arrive on grocery store shelves, which in itself is a highly unusual accomplishment for a new brewery.

DAVID HAMME
Hamme admits that the shift was a bit risky. He is straddling the line between production brewery and taproom.
So, for the time being, Lost Worlds Brewery will focus on the production/carry out model, with a dine in/drink in taproom down the road.
They are offering four of their Basecamp Beers available for purchase in cans, crowlers and growlers (Two IPA’s, a Golden Ale and a Porter).
