Joyce Chance Bedingfield, 75 of Cornelius died April 30, 2015. She was born on October 7, 1939 in Memphis, TN to the late Jesse and Mary Chance. She attended Whitehaven High School and later worked at Delta Airlines. She was a member of the Iotharho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Joyce had a heart for the Lord—she loved her church and loved to serve those around her. She was a talented homemaker, who loved to garden, cook and entertain. Joyce worked along side her husband in their family business, The Lens, Inc. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

 

Survivors include her husband Chuck; sons, Bryant and wife Donna of Charlotte, John and wife Laura of Huntersville; daughter, Cheryl of Murrell’s Inlet, SC; sister, Diane Chance of Memphis, TN and grandchildren, William and Jacob.

 

The funeral service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, May 3 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville with visitation 3-4 prior. Rev. Landon Horton will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.
