CABLE

Jane Elizabeth Kerns Cable, age 71, of Huntersville, NC passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Kerns; mother, Daisy Hunt Kerns; brother Richard “Dick” Kerns; sister, Janet Rammel; brother Ralph “Mike” Kerns and brother Gary Kerns.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Ric” Cable and sons, Richard “Rick” Cable II (Tricia), James “Jamie” Cable (Mary Robin) and Jarrid Cable (Gina); and grandchildren William “Will”, Grace, Madelyn and Sarah Jane.

Jane was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was married to the love of her life for 52 years and raised three wonderful sons. Her family was her life. Jane joined Beta Sigma Phi (an International Women’s Organization) in 1977 and was a faithful Lifetime Member. She holds the Master Degree and received the “Woman of the Year”, “Valentine Queen”, “Program of the Year”, “Order of the Rose”, and “Silver Circle” awards during her tenure with the sorority.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4th from 1pm to 2pm at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. The Celebration of Life will follow at 2pm.  

Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association in her honor.
