Seniors in the Hough High School band
Nov. 11. The Hough High School Marching Band recently wrapped up its fall competition season, earning a total of 18 trophies. That tally included seven awards in its final performance at East Burke, where the band took first place in overall, color guard, musical effect, visual effect, and general effect categories.
During competition season, Hough students performed Legends of the North, a show inspired by Norse myths that takes audiences on a journey through the tales of Yggdrasil, the fierce wolves Hati and Skoll, and the rebirth of Ragnarök. The performance featured music by noted composers Christopher Tin and John Powell, with soloists Erik Middelthon on alto saxophone and Senior DeAndra Molina on flute.
The band held their final performance of Legends of the North at the last regular season home football game.
