Holston opens online form for medical record transfers

April 16. Holston Medical Group has rolled out an online tool where patients can request a transfer of their medical records to their provider of choice for continuation of care: https://www.holstonmedicalgroup.com/medical-records-release-form/.

The Tennessee-based medical practice previously required an in-office visit with physical forms.

An HMG spokesperson said they wanted to create a way to keep everyone safe with the stay-at-home order in place.

The company has been in the news as a group of doctors exited and Holston closed 10 out of 13 North Carolina offices.
