Nov. 4. If you think you saw a mini-Christmas Parade in downtown Cornelius this morning, you do not have sugarplums dancing in your head. Members of the Town Board and Mayor Woody Washam rode in cars for about 250 feet in front of Town Hall where they were videoed for the 38th Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade.

It’s a virtual event this year; Friday is the deadline for videos to be submitted. It’s a good COVID-19 era vehicle for non-profits and businesses. The parade will be viewable on Facebook and YouTube Saturday Dec. 5 at 1 pm. If you Love a Parade, click here.

Friday is the deadline to submit videos.

Applications are available online at www.townofdavidson.org/dpr. Up to 100 video entries will be accepted  to allow for an enjoyable viewing experience. There are about 15 entrants, so there’s still  time to get in on the parade.

No Santas, please. He has reserved his traditional last spot in the line.
