Free new boater safety class July 27
July 23. The Cornelius Police Dept. is hosting “Know Before you Go” for new boaters at the Joshua Murray Boating Safety and Education Initiative at Blythe Landing July 27 from 8 am to 2:30 pm.
The course will be taught by District 5 Southern Region United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Lunch is included.

All people born after Jan. 1, 1988, must have a state-approved boater safety certification if they are operating a vessel on the waters of North Carolina.
