Feb. 2. Atrium Health Pineville is receiving help from a US Department of Health and Human Services team of medical professionals. A 16-member National Disaster Medical System team will help cover shifts in the hospital’s emergency department beginning Thursday, Feb. 3.

The team consists of five oversight and support personnel and 11 clinicians — one physician, two advanced practice providers, four registered nurses and four paramedics.

The team will stay on-site through Feb. 13.
