UPDATED: Costly food trailer stolen from Bruster’s

Bruster’s trailer is missing

June 20. [Update June 22] A distinctive enclosed trailer wrapped with the Bruster’s Ice Cream and Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs logos has been stolen from a parking spot in Kenton Place.

Stuart Modeen, owner of the franchise at 17029 Kenton Drive, said the 14-foot trailer was stolen sometime early Sunday morning.

UPDATE: Cornelius Police say the trailer was found near the corner of Orlando and Franklin in the near Graham in Charlotte. “No one was around and to date a suspect has not been identified.”

Valued at between $15,000 and $20,000, the trailer is one of four owned by the business and used for off-site catering and events.
